Isaiah 49:8-15/Jn 5:17-30
From the book of the prophet Isaiah for today’s reading, the prophet is telling the people of Israel
that often they think that God does not listen to them but there is assurance in the opposite that
God answers them. For us the New People of God, it is important to know God continuously
answers us at the proper time, at the finest time, at the esteemed time, “in a time of favor.” If we
feel ignored by God since He isn't replying to our prayers on our plan, we need to confess that to
Him and filled with confident acknowledge that He does things in the right way at the correct
time.
In the Gospel, the cherishing of God through Jesus Christ is shown. It is love that permits the
inventive activity of God to show he is unmistakable. It moreover uncovers something of the
relationship between Jesus and the Father. Jesus is the reflection of the Father. By ideals of our
sanctification within the title of the Father, and the Child and the Heavenly Soul we moreover
ended up the reflection of God. This at that point calls each of us to adore as God cherishes us
and to let other individuals feel the adoring of God through our great works. This can be a way of
proceeding with the inventive work of God this Lent. The expectation and real proposal with
these are to always focus and stay within God’s love.
I think sometimes our daily life can put us between God and make us think He is not there and
has abandoned us. But we always need to remember that God loves us so much that he sent his
only son to be crucified knowing that was the plan. Lastly, during this Lent, we need to always
remember that no matter what, Jesus is always there with us and for us. God is always watching
even when we feel he is not there. My question for us today is, do we often feel abandoned by
God if our prayers aren’t answered?
